Dallas Moore spent most of last year on the road, playing 337 shows. With a wife and two-year-old daughter at home, Moore struggles with being away on the reflective tune “Everything But You,” which Billboard premieres exclusively today (Aug. 29).
On the track, Moore laments of his dreams that keep him away from the ones he loves. Alongside soaring pedal steel and string features and Moore’s gruff vocals, the emotion is felt on “Everything But You.” The video was filmed in Nashville and stars Moore, alongside his wife, Jenna Danielle Moore, and their daughter, Victory Lee Moore.
“I was so excited to have Jenna and Victory featured in the video,” Moore tells Billboard. “It was both of their first time to do anything like this and my first time to shoot a music video on this level. They made us all feel so comfortable and at ease during filming. It’s like they captured a little four-minute glimpse into what our life is really like. I’m out on the road so much and it’s both extremely rewarding but also very hard being away from my family.”
“Everything But You” was the last song Moore wrote for his upcoming album, Tryin’ To Be a Blessing, out Oct. 4 via Sol Records. It was produced by Dean Miller and Moore says it’s his most autobiographical record to date. (Read More)
